Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15th 1960) was an American actress. She is known for her roles in television and in film since the late 1980s she's won numerous awards including two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was born to her aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. She was born and grew up at home in New York New York. Bassett moved with her older sister St. Petersburg Florida at five years old in order to be closer to their mother, who was separated from her father. Bassett when she was in high school watched John Steinbeck's stage play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she was inspired to be an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut was where she earned her bachelor's in African American and master's degrees (1983). She was married in 1997. was married Courtney B. Vance who was a fellow actor. Qualification: B.A. In African-American Studies, 1981. Masters of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (7th grade), Azalea Middle School (8th and 9th grades), Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett has been cast in one the leading roles of Ramonda for the action adventure film, i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
