Ward was born at MonroeLouisianaon 14 April1976. Ward attended a private Christian primary school, called Monroe Christian School. Following the completion of her high school education she transferred to River Oaks High School in the summer of her junior-year. In the school, she was a part of the drill and dance team. She did a brief stint at Northeast Louisiana University after graduating. At the age of thirteen, old, Ward started modeling after leaving school, and then moving from Louisiana to New York in order to accomplish this. A few years afterward she decided to try acting. She first played an uncredited role in the 1970's soap drama All My Children, and later was cast in a teen drama on NBC Prime-Time Malibu Shores. Her role was Meg Cummings, a virgin on Sunset Beach in 1996. In 1999, she began a film career and starred on The In Crowd as psychotic Brittany Foster. The film, which was initially an economic failure cinemas and then on video-on-demand (VOD), became wildly loved. Ward had a role as a backup in Shallow Hal the following year. Her other acting credits include numerous direct-to-DVD films and guest roles in TV series, such as Friends. She was the main cast member of ABC Family's drama series Make It or Break It in the beginning of its two seasons of 2009. The year 2009 was the time she was cast in the role Chloe Kmet as the mother of a teen gymna. Her personal life includes a union with the producer David C. Robinson. Together, they have one son named Cameron.
